Vertigo/Balance
Vestibular (balance) issues can originate from many pathologies, including lesions of the inner or middle ear.
Symptoms may include dizziness, vertigo (spinning sensation), lack of balance, sometimes in addition to change in hearing, tinnitus, and/or aural pressure.
Patients experiencing symptoms may be scheduled for testing and/or imaging to determine the best treatment.
Treatment may include medication, medical procedure, positional exercises (Epley), and/or physical therapy.
Disorders Treated Include:
- Meniere’s disease
- Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV)
- Vestibular neuritis
- Vestibular migraine
- Superior canal dehiscence
